Purpose
Moving can be disruptive in a condominium community. This guide outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and procedures for moving into or out of Lakeside Green Condos so that residents, neighbors, and Association property are protected.
These guidelines are based on the Association’s Rules & Regulations and apply to owners, tenants, movers, and vendors.
General Requirements (All Moves)
- All moves must comply with the Association’s Community Standards and Common Area Rules.
- Owners are responsible for the actions of their tenants, guests, movers, and contractors.
- Damage to common elements caused during a move is the owner’s responsibility and may be charged back accordingly.
- Moving activities must not block access to fire lanes, sidewalks, parking areas, or other residents.
Approved Moving Days & Hours
- Moves are permitted only during reasonable daytime hours.
- Late-night or early-morning moves that create noise or disruption are not permitted.
- Moves may be restricted during holidays or community-wide events.
(Residents are encouraged to check the Service Schedule or contact the Association if unsure.)
Parking & Access During Moves
- Movers must use designated parking areas only.
- Fire lanes, drive aisles, and clubhouse parking spaces may not be blocked at any time.
- Vehicles may not park on landscaped areas or sidewalks.
- Overnight parking of moving trucks is not permitted.
Failure to comply may result in fines or towing.
Protection of Common Areas
Owners must ensure movers:
- Use care when moving items through common areas
- Do not drag furniture or appliances across sidewalks, stairs, or entryways
- Properly dispose of packing materials and debris
Common areas must be left clean and undamaged immediately after the move.
Move-In Requirements (Tenants)
In addition to the above:
- Leasing must comply with the Association’s Rental Guidelines
- Required Association approval must be obtained before occupancy
- Lease agreements must include language binding tenants to Association rules
Owners are responsible for ensuring tenants receive a copy of the Rules & Regulations.
Move-Out Requirements
Before vacating a unit:
- All personal items must be removed from patios, balconies, storage areas, and carports
- Trash, bulk items, and moving debris must be properly disposed of
- No items may be left in common areas or dumpster enclosures
Bulk items may not be placed in dumpsters unless permitted by the waste provider.
Utilities & Services
- Owners are responsible for coordinating utility transfers
- Utilities should not be disconnected in a way that impacts common systems or neighboring units
Prohibited During Moves
The following are not permitted during move-in or move-out:
- Blocking fire lanes or emergency access
- Using common areas for temporary storage
- Leaving trash or bulk items in unauthorized locations
- Causing excessive noise or disturbance
Fines & Responsibility
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Fines per the Association’s Fine and Penalty Schedule
- Reimbursement for damage to common elements
- Enforcement action against the owner
